RCG’s Yahoo Listserv
This listserv was developed BY Rock Creek Garden (RCG) residents FOR RCG residents to share information, connect with neighbors, get involved and stay current on important issues. To ensure the listserv continues to be a positive addition to being a resident at RCG, the following guidelines have been developed.
Guidelines
- This list is an excellent way for residents to solicit and receive recommendations from other residents on potential vendors, service providers, etc. However, it is not the wish of the list participants to receive unsolicited commercial communications.
- Show care when posting your message. If you have a grievance, it is best to email the individual directly verses displaying it for all to see.
- Only send a message to the entire list when it contains information for everyone’s benefit.
- Include a signature tag on all messages. Include your name, building AND unit number.
- State concisely and clearly the topic of your comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately to your posting and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject.
To avoid filling up everyone’s email box, send messages such as “thanks for the information” or “me, too” to individuals–not to the entire list.
If you wish to change your setting, use the Web interface (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RCGgroup/) to make your changes. Sending administrative message to the list will not be resolved.
Do not support flaming, contentious messages with a flaming, contentious response.
Please note, this listserv is NOT, by any means, supported by or regulated by the Board of Directors, the Rock Creek Gardens Management Company, or the onsite management office. Therefore, use of this list is at your own risk.
